Measure
In Situ Hydraulic Conductivity of the Vadose Zone with Confidence
The
Compact Constant Head Permeameter, also known as the Amoozemeter,
is a revolutionary piece of field equipment that provides the
means to collect data for determining in situ saturated hydraulic
conductivity (Ksat) of the vadose (unsaturated) zone easily and
conveniently. The procedure is known as: Constant Head Well Permeameter
Technique, Shallow Well Pump-in Method, or Borehole Infiltration
Test. The method has been described in detail in three of the
Soil Science Society of America Monographs, including the second
edition of the Methods of Soil Analysis.
